My License Routine...

While posting the details of the License Tests, I thought it'd be a good idea to mention the process I go through to pass them.

First, I read the caption on the right side of the screen. This description helps point out what's being tested, and provides a little insight as to what's needed to pass the test.

Then, I watch the demo. Then I watch it again. Then I watch it again... I watch it as many times as I need to feel comfortable with the car & the track. It's best to watch the demo using the same view as the one you use when driving.

I'll watch the video to help me identify three key things:
- Braking points
- Turn-in points (watch the G-meter)
- Lowest speed through turns & exit speeds (passing the end of the rumble strip or another landmark)

The demo is always a gold-medal run. If you take a line and keep your inputs similar to the Demo run, you'll be well-set for a gold time. My personal preference is to run the test until I can beat the demo, but for this gamesave, that isn't the case.

And with that said, the demo run doesn't always take the best line. There may be sections where you can get ahead of it (where it would be), so don't feel as though you need to do EXACTLY what the demo run does.

My reports for the Licenses, Missions, and Races will all be done in first-person form. I'm doing this because I'm reporting on my run, which may or may not be handled in the way that's best for you. The high-frequency of "I" in these reports is the result of my being careful not to tell you what to do. This was because there are many ways to go about passing these tests, and I'm not going to restrict you from any ways you might feel are best.

In the end, you'll have all the information you'll need to defeat the gold medal time. Patience, Practice, and Persistence will get you where you want to be.

Have A Great Drive!
